Springtime fun!

These last few weekends, we've been able to have some spring time fun! Nebraska had their spring football game last Saturday, so we decided to go and see it! It was a nice spring day, the perfect weather to be outside watching football. McKinley had a lot of fun too! She loved being in the crowd and watching all of the people! She did so well and we all had a great time!





For Easter weekend, we headed out to St. Louis to visit Travis's family. Almost all of his brother's and sister's were in town for the holiday! We had an Easter egg hunt, celebrated Angie's bridal shower, had a yummy Easter lunch and just had fun hanging out and sitting around talking and laughing. McKinley was able to celebrate her first Easter!

We've been enjoying the nice Nebraska spring weather! McKinley and I like to take walks during the day and enjoy the sun and the warmer weather! We like to be outside and enjoy the fresh air. Here are Mya and McKinley outside sitting in the grass, one of McKinley's favorite places to be :)

A few of McKinley's favorite things...

McKinley is at such a fun age! I wanted to document some fun things she does so I won't forget them!

• McKinley loves looking in the mirror. No matter how crabby of a mood she's in, if we walk past a mirror and she sees our reflection smiling back at her, she always smiles! And it's always a big full mouthed smile, the best kind :) Here we are taking a picture in the mirror...
  

• McKinley loves to be outside, and especially loves the grass. She likes to sit and play in it. She loves to pick pieces with her fingers, and of course tries to eat them! I have to be constantly watching her while she's playing in the grass to make sure she doesn't get a taste of some oh so yummy grass!
  

• McKinley loves to play with her tongue. She often times has it sticking out of her mouth sitting on her upper lip sucking. It's so funny, because of this we've given her the nickname "little lick".
  

• McKinley loves music! She always gets still and listens when she hears some music playing. When I take her to story time at the library she always listens intently when they sing the songs. While watching General Conference her favorite part was the Mormon Tabernacle singing the hymns. She listened to those so intently and loved them!
  

7 months old!

March 24th McKinley turned 7 months old! We've been having so much fun with her! She's becoming so much more interactive and mobile and so much FUN! So far months 5, 6 and 7 have been my favorite with our little McKinley! In McKinley's 7th month she has:

• Been so smiley! She loves to smile at random people in stores. She smiles a ton at everyone we see! It's the cutest thing. She's also laughing a lot more! I LOVE her laugh it's one of the cutest noises ever!

• Grown to LOVE her Daddy! She always smiles for him and loves to watch him all the time. She's so happy when she's with her daddy. She's already a Daddy's little girl!

• Started trying to crawl. She can get up on her hands and knees and rocks back-and-forth. She can inch forward by rocking to get what she wants. It won't be too long before we have a little crawler on our hands!

• Become such a good sleeper. She falls asleep on her own and sleeps from about 7pm - 7am, usually just waking up once! It's so nice to just lay her down and she falls asleep on her own. Here she is, our little sleeping beauty :)

• Has had fun playing with her cousin Mya here in Nebraska! We took them to a play place and they got to play on all of the equipment there!

She's also had fun with Mya at the park enjoying the nice weather, finally!

• Has become quite the little swimmer. We went to an indoor water park and she loved splashing around in the water! She's a little water baby and loves the water! She loves her baths, showers, pools and playing in the sink! Looks like a lot of swimming is in store for us this summer, that doesn't bother me one bit :)

I love this age and love my little McKinley! I can't wait to see what's in store for her! It's so fun watching her grow and change and I'm so glad I get to stay home with her to see every moment of it! I wouldn't have it any other way!

Leaving Utah

Before we left Utah, we made the rounds to see everyone we wanted to see...

We got to see McKay, Allison and Kennedy!

We had a going away party with my extended family. We had a picture scavenger hunt with everyone and had a really fun time! Here's my team all going down a slide at once.

We got to see Jeremy, Nicole and Mikayla. McKinley and Mikayla are buddies, they're only 6 weeks apart!

We also got to spend a lot of time with the Bodrero's before we left Utah! We spent the night at a hotel together one night. Here are McKinley and Clay playing together!

We're sad to leave all of our friends and family in Utah. We made some great friends and had some great times while we were there! Hopefully we'll get to see them all again soon!
