Pumpkin Patch

We headed out to Roca Berry Farms, for the second year in a row, to enjoy some fall fun and pick out a pumpkin for our porch! One of the fun things we were able to do while we were there was jump on a big jumping pillow. McKinley wasn't too sure about it, but enjoyed it while I held her and we jumped.

We went down a few fast, fun slides!

We took a hayrack ride out to pick some pumpkins from the pumpkin patch!

McKinley played in a wooden bus filled with corn kernels! She loved it and had a great time digging and playing around in the corn!

Her favorite part of the farm was of course the animals, knowing our girl! She loved the pigs, goats, chickens, bunnies, and sheep!

They also had some singing chickens she snuggled up with Daddy to watch!

We love fall!

Moving out Summer and Beginning Fall!

Summer has ended around here and we're starting to really enjoy fall! We're loving the cooler temps, the leaves changing, and of course the most important thing that happens in the fall, COLLEGE FOOTBALL!! We ended summer by enjoying playing outside, eating ice cream, picking flowers, and splashing through puddles! Some of our favorite things to do over the summer!

Travis has student season tickets to the Nebraska football games, and I have a spouse pass! So we've been enjoying going to the football games and all things related to Husker football around Lincoln!

We went to a Husker Tailgating party at a local sporting goods store one evening. McKinley got a lady bug painted on her arm! She thought that was pretty cool and still talked about it for a few days after!

I've still been cheering on my Longhorns and watching Texas football when I can catch the games! Needless to say, we watch a lot of college football around our house!

Travis has been busy working full-time and going to school full-time, and I've been keeping busy chasing a cute 2-year old all around! She is still quite the mommy and loves to take care of her babies. She'll put them in her crib and say to them, "Night, Night, see you in the morning! Love you." Then she'll close her bedroom door and tell me, "Shh... babies sleeping!" Then a few seconds later she'll point to her ear and say, "Hear that? Baby crying!" Then go in her room to get her baby out of her crib! It's pretty cute :)

Here she is saying "Hear that?", hearing her baby crying.

McKinley has started to versify the foods she eats a little bit! One thing she loves is chips and salsa! When we give her a chip she says, "dip?" Asking for salsa to go with her chip! What can I say she's a Mexican food lover like me!

Her favorite foods to eat are corn, rice, apples, cheese, bread, crackers, cereal and strawberries! She's even learned new ways to shovel in her food and eat it even faster :)

Some other things McKinley loves to do are dress up, ride on the carousel at the mall, read books, play with her cousins, play with play dough, take baths, color, go to the Children's Museum, and get suckers at the Bank.

For her birthday, McKinley got a Little People Zoo from my Mom and Dad. She now officially knows the names of all the animals in the zoo, and can also place them where they go in the zoo set up! She set them all up and was pretty proud of herself  :)

She remembers her birthday, and anytime I talk about a birthday she says "animals". One day we went over to the park where we had McKinley's birthday party, and she went and sat on the table where we sat and had her cake at her party and she started singing "Happy Birthday to Kinwey". It was really cute and I was impressed all that she remembered. I guess it made quite the impression on her :)

We're so glad it's cooling off and feels like fall now! We've enjoyed being out in the cool weather and even made our house feel like Halloween and Fall inside! McKinley knows what Halloween is, from Barney's Halloween Party, and anytime we're out and see Halloween decorations she always points to them and says, "Halloween"! And she thought it was fun putting up Halloween decorations in our house!

Here's a fun shot of McKinley jumping in mid-air. She likes to "hop" down the stairs, it's more like a half jump so it's safe on the stairs! It looks a lot more dangerous in this pic than it actually was :)
